Field of expertise
Specialist in General Internal Medicine FMH
Practice Laboratory (KHM)
«Preventive medicine is of central importance to me. Through my work in general medicine and neurology, I have witnessed first-hand how many conditions are only treated once irreversible damage has already occurred. This is precisely where proactive medicine offers the opportunity to intervene early — through targeted medical history, screening examinations, and lifestyle interventions — before a manifest disease develops.
In neurology, I became particularly aware of how severe the consequences of undetected or untreated risk factors can be — for example in strokes, neurodegenerative diseases, or vascular conditions of the nervous system. Identifying risk profiles, genetic predispositions, and early clinical or subclinical signs plays a crucial role — not only in diagnosing diseases earlier, but ideally in preventing them altogether.»
